Tea Cups A Glow

I just wanted to share a little make with you, before my dental appointment (to take my mind off the dread)....
I found a lovely little 'how to' the the Vintage Home book by Sarah Moore.

It was really easy to do. I bought some 1.2mm garden wire and a copper florists ring, and made a little cradle for each tea cup by twisting 2 lengths of 60cm wire at each side of the base, and then again at the rim of the cup before attaching them to the ring. I love it. The china is thin and lights up with a tea light inside.

  1. Very seasonal...have you seen her lampshade wrapped Christmas trees, saw them and thought of you. She lives nearby so we compete at local boot fairs...of course I 'm always too late. xx

    1. Yes they'd look great hanging from a tree! I tend to forget to bring those sorts of things in though, and then lose them to frost. I MUST cart this outside in the summer, and remember to fetch it back x

    1. Oh get the kettle on and have a peruse! I really really liked it. I know there's a lot out there, and sometimes I feel I've wasted my money on a few pretty pictures, but this one is a keeper. Get reading! Xx

  4. That is just beautiful Jo ... I love how the china lights up. You have done a fantastic job & love the cups you have used. I do love candlelight & tend to burn lots of candles as enjoy the atmosphere it creates. I saw that book advertised in my latest Mollie Makes so might have to go have another looksy . . . Julie x0x (hope dentist went okay)

    1. It's one to get I reckon.....I know this for myself anyway because I keep on going back to it. I found it in The Works for £6.00.
Thank you for your lovely comment! I've lit the fire tonight, despite risk of soot fall, and it's knocked me out! Slept through the evening on the sofa and have just come alive! (dentist fine thank you....they forgot to x-ray me, and I didn't remind them, so no return visit! I do get in a stress when it comes to teeth. yuck)
