I'd quite like to be a cat some days
I could sleep in guitar cases, travel over chimney stacks, sleep in mixing bowls (?!), get wrapped in blankets.....
This blogger Mcdoogly thing is super new to me. I'm going to attempt to add a clever link today :)
You ready?
I have fallen a little bit in love with the blog Hettie Brown. I love her writing, her musings, her photos (oh my the photos), and her paper mâché critters. She attributes her inspiration to Julie Arkell....and has now inspired me. I long for a guardian of blankets. So....I'm going to have a go. Along with a zillion other projects my head is cooking up.
I'm gathering supplies for my big plans, in between the crazy nesting.
And I had a little eBay parcel arrive too. I love old coat hangers. I think this will be a marvellous addition to my 'space' when I finally persuade man to build me my desk out of an old stable door we've been keeping in the shed for an age.
Dear jo ,I have just got home from a nine hour shift and read your lovely post ....I am a,little touched by your kind words...and yes this work malarkey does get in the way....wish I could bottle that coming home feeling though ...I could make my fortune....
ReplyDeleteI am making another critter at the moment who has yet to take on its purpose in life :),,,,, it's been drying while I was a work so tonight I will do phase two. I love your blog too my lovely and so glad I found you xxx oooh is it vodka and gin night ???? X
It should have been the night of spirits yes, but sulky me has to go and do an overtime night shift to fund the coat hangers and cat food! The best part comes at 8am when I get to come home, and my whole family leaves to go about their day, and I can potter and dwell and nest all on my own. Alone is something that I don't get to indulge in often.
DeleteRaincheck? Only a postponement mind!
I very much look forward to seeing your new critter! Enjoy your home time xXx
Ps I love that hanger thingy :)

ReplyDeleteYour new follower, Claire xxx
Hi Claire! Crikey, it's strange to have someone reading this! I'm at the stage where I squeal when I get an email notifying me of a blog comment. How exciting :) I really appreciate you taking the time to drop me a note, thank you. I've just stopped by to visit your blog.....I've identified entirely with your fear of driving long journeys, raised my eyebrows at crazy taxi driver, winced at the removal of fireplaces in your parents' house, and smiled at your love of the old. It's lovely to 'meet' you x

He sleeps in the funniest if places, and if we ever put a cardboard box down, he's straight in it. X

ReplyDeleteIt's a place I want to crawl into! I spent a good few hours reading her old blog yesterday, Fading Grace. She's a very talented, intriguingly lovely lady. Xx
